This is my blog consisting of my art works. Born a perfectionist, I am always trying to make small things stand out of the crowd and make it as awesome as it can be. So remember, hard work pays off! and always aim for excellence :) I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination. ---Jimmy Dean

Sketchbook- Sketch models
You must be wondering what's a sketch model! So yeah, a sketch model is a replica of how your end product will look like BUT using scrap materials like cardboard, wool, chicken wire, paper etc. it can be anything!
Below are my 3 sketch models I did for my 3D project.
Importance of sketch models:
Just like an architect would test his design to check for stability and balance against natural disasters, you should test your design as well.
Sketch models fit in exactly for this purpose so as to be able to visually notice errors and make necessary changes.
Remember to always test designs and yeah sketch models yields in additional marks :D

Sketchbook- Idea development, Making of & Evaluation
- Your random ideas. (any possible idea you may think of!, normally 15)
- 5 proposals out of the 15 random ideas
- Evaluate the 5 proposals against your defined criteria and assess. (Assessing is optional but helps to have a more accurate idea)
- Develop the 5 proposals in depth. (Material, Not to scale dimensions, possible improvements)
- Choose your final idea after assessing :)
Keep your labels as simple as possible |

Finding all the appropriate shapes for the pull toy as it is for kids, remember to match against criteria. May take up a lot of pages. |
Overall dimension |
Materials and quantity to be used |
Colour swatches for the final product |
Actual materials to be used |
Add pictures of your making of process |
Sketch models to test for possible flaws and what will work/not |
Evaluation against criteria |
I hope it helps anyone out there having no clue as to how to start a sketchbook! Good luck!

Sketchbook- Mindmapping & Visual analysis
A big hello to all my readers and followers :)
For this assignment, we had to create a sketchbook following the making of a 3D pull toy! (Ps: my first sketchbook lol)
I'll be posting part of it everyday until completion and more to come!
Stay tuned,
Nadia.
I hope this helps anyone who has no clue as to how to start a sketchbook! (I was one of them lol).
Part 2 being the idea development will be posted soon.
